Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has guaranteed a fair and impartial evaluation of the nomination forms submitted by prospective presidential candidates in 2024.
Her remarks came after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), turned in his nomination forms.
Jean Mensa emphasized that, should repairs be required, there is ample time to remedy any problems found in the forms.
Dr. Bawumia’s paperwork were received, and Jean Mensa noted that two teams had been formed to handle the review procedure.
Dr. Bawumia wished the Chairperson and her colleagues the best of luck as they get ready for the 2024 elections, realizing how difficult the Commission’s work was.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, and his wife Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh were also with him.
Party officials are also present at the EC to offer support and solidarity. These individuals include Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, General Secretary Justin Koduah Frimpong, National Chairman Stephen Ntim, and other prominent NPP members.
