Anyone found guilty will not be protected by National Service Authority — NSS Boss

Felix Gyamfi, the Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has firmly promised that the current administration of the agency will fully collaborate with the required state institutions to investigate the circumstances that led to the infiltration of multiple ghost names into the system and the resulting financial losses to the state.

He claimed that the identification of more than 80,000 phantom names on the authority’s payroll demonstrated a deficient IT system that gave malicious actors access to it and a place to connive for local benefit.

According to Mr. Gyamfi, the authority was amenable to a thorough examination of the current system in order to identify any vulnerabilities that would have allowed the ghost names to enter the system.

Additionally, he urged all interested parties to get in touch with the authorities and offer creative solutions to the system’s problems.

“I am careful to talk more on this matter when it is still being investigated, but I can assure you that the NSA will not conceal anyone found to be complicit in this corrupt act,”Mr Felix Gyamfi told Kwaku Owusu Adjei(Patoo) on Adwenkasa on Accra-based Original TV/ FM.

The head of the NSA promised to spearhead the reforms that would close the gaps and enhance service provision.

According to him, the implementation of suitable technology to aid in the hiring of qualified service members, increased cooperation with recognized postsecondary educational establishments, and better communication with potential user agencies would serve as the foundation for those reforms.
