President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has underlined the government’s deliberate efforts in strategic planning to maintain Ghana’s safety and security.
He emphasized during Tuesday, February 27’s State of the Nation speech that careful planning has prevented Ghana from being impacted by the radicalism seen in its neighbors.
Akufo-Addo reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to the security forces and all other agencies, stressing the need to allocate resources to keep them prepared.
The President also emphasized that the police force has significantly improved their equipment and capabilities, saying that they are now more equipped than they have ever been.
Akufo-Addo warned against taking the nation’s territorial integrity for granted and emphasized the necessity for ongoing vigilance, acknowledging the difficulties presented by extremism in other parts of West Africa.
During the State of the Nation speech on Tuesday, February 27, he stated that the welfare of the military forces and all security services has been given priority and that they have been adequately resourced.
