Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon has been appointed Director-General of Ghana’s National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the government agency in charge of disaster response and emergency management.
As a former officer in the Ghana Armed Forces, Kuyon brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of corporate governance, finance, security, and conflict resolution.
He graduated with a Ph.D. in Financial Management from China’s Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and has held a number of high-level positions, such as finance officer and UN peacekeeper.
Throughout his military career, Kuyon was instrumental in the Ghana Armed Forces’ institutional reforms, security operations, and financial management.
His appointment coincides with NADMO’s ongoing efforts to improve emergency response and disaster resilience in Ghana.
