The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has announced a little decrease in residential customers’ energy rates.
However, the commission has stated that lifeline customers (0-30 kWh) and residential customers within the 0-300 kWh consumption category would not see any changes in pricing.
The 6.56% marginal rate cut, according to PURC, will help residential customers in the 301 kWh and higher consumption range.
“Tariffs within the 0-300kWh for non-residential class of consumers remains the same with no change in their rates. However, consumers within 301kWh and above class will experience an average reduction of 4.980/0,” it added.
According to the Commission, water prices for all customer classes are unaffected for the duration of the review.
