The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor held a meeting with the partners of the 1560 square km East Cape Three Point Block, on the sidelines of the International Energy Week in the United Kingdom (UK).
The partners of the block located in the Offshore Tano Basin, Medea Development Ltd, Cola Natural Resources, and the potential partners, Strategic Fuel Fund, Safri West Energies, and Jade Energy reassured the Minister of exploring the field to achieve the first oil in 2028/2029.
According to them, they are in the process of preparing to commence the first exploration well drilling later this year or early next year.
On his part, The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, expressed the commitment of the government of Ghana to pursuing investor-friendly policies whilst protecting Ghana’s interests. Hon. Jinapor stated that Ghana’s upstream sector is open to business.
