Minister for Communications Calls for Harmonisation of Ecosystem Actors on the Ghana Innovation and Start-Up Bill

The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations (MOCDTI), Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), met ecosystem actors earlier today to deliberate on the Ghana Innovation and Start-Up Bill.

Discussions centered on aligning efforts to streamline the regulatory framework that will drive entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana.

The Hon. Minister directed the teams to work together and submit the draft bill and also initiate work on the Legislative Instrument (L.I.).

The team has 14 working days to submit the harmonised draft bill.

He further mandated NEIP to lead the synchronisation process to ensure a well-integrated and comprehensive document.

The meeting was attended by key ministry officials, including Mr. Alfred Nortey, Director of Administration; Ms. Barbara Barnes, Director of Research, Statistics, and Information Management (RSIM); and other senior officers from the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations.
