Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Brimah Akanbi has refuted allegations that he participated in the sabotage of Samuel Boadu’s final days at the club and even played a role in his dismissal.
Samuel Boadu was hired by the “Phobians” two seasons ago from Medeama SC and won them numerous accolades, including the GPL. However, he was fired after failing to record a victory in his first four competitive games.
Serbian manager Slavko Matic was appointed as his replacement.
However, the firing of Samuel Boadu infuriated many Hearts of Oak supporters, who accused the long-serving board member of being involved but who later refuted their claims.
“I don’t have any idea about the sacking of Coach Samuel Boadu. It’s never true that I Alhaji Brimah Moro Akambi is the one who sacked Samuel Boadu at Accra Hearts of Oak, “Alhaji Akanbi told Gideon Okyere Anim(Gatusso) on Accra-based Original FM 91.9.
“Coach Matic decided he can’t work with Daniel Kordie, Richard Attah, Fatawu Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan, and Junior Kaba due to his observation it’s not the Accra Hearts of oak Board that takes such decisions, “he added.
