Akufo-Addo appoints Dr Osei Bonsu Dickson as Deputy National Security Coordinator

Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson has been appointed as the Deputy National Security Coordinator by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

With an outstanding 25-year career in both legal affairs and national security operations, Dr. Dickson brings a wealth of experience to his new position.

Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson, a highly regarded expert in national security law, cyber, and maritime policy, held multiple leadership roles in the Ministry of National Security prior to his appointment.

At the Ministry of National Security, he has held positions as Director for Intelligence Analysis, Director for Security Governance, Director for Legal Affairs, Chief Legal Advisor, and Director in charge of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation.

In addition, Dr. Dickson has held positions on the boards of the Ghana Boundary Commission (GhBC), Expresso Telecom Group, the Africa Center for Strategic Studies, and the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC).

Numerous members of the national security community have expressed their happiness and excitement about President Akufo-Addo’s selection of the seasoned lawyer and security specialist for the role.
