Nana Yaa Jantuah Eyes Ministerial Role under Mahama’s Potential Presidency

Former Convention People’s Party (CPP) general secretary Nana Yaa Jantuah has stated that she is willing to work as a minister in any cabinet that John Dramani Mahama may lead after the 2024 elections.

Jantuah reaffirmed her choice in an exclusive interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One Television’s Face to Face, highlighting her long-standing friendship with Mahama and her respect for his moral character and leadership.

“I have known H.E. Mahama for 30 years, and he is a good man,” Jantuah remarked, countering criticisms she perceives as unjust. She contrasted her positive views of Mahama with what she considers mischaracterizations in public discourse.

The NPP flagbearer, Jantuah, categorically rejected the idea of working under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that she preferred to lead based on her own evaluation of leadership abilities.

Jantuah reaffirmed her devotion to the CPP’s vision and objectives while declaring her allegiance to its principles and making it clear that her position does not constitute a defection to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I haven’t thought about it yet. I’m still with the CPP, and I believe the CPP has a good brand,” Jantuah affirmed during the interview.
