Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has declared that the party wants to secure 85% of the votes in the Ashanti Region during this year’s elections.
The NPP will run a door-to-door campaign in advance of the general election, he declared.
Addressing supporters of the NPP in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9, after his unveiling, Dr. Prempeh declared, “We want 85 percent in the Ashanti region.”
He urged party supporters and Ghanaians in general to “honour President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia by voting massively to win the 2024 elections.”
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the NPP, commended Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, calling him a generational thinker, a problem solver, and informed.
He was clear in expressing how much he respected Dr. Opoku Prempeh.
