2024 election: Ghana’s peace won’t be in danger -GAF

Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, the Chief of Defense Staff, has promised that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will operate in a professional manner to maintain peace and stability during the next elections in December.

According to Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, the GAF would make sure that Ghana’s frontiers are safe from any outside threats with the assistance of other security agencies.

Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah stated that Ghana’s peace will be protected prior to, during, and following the elections during a meeting with National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

“We want to assure our father and everyone that together, we will continue to maintain the peace and security of this country and we will continue to perform our duties as the Ghana Armed Forces to ensure that this country’s safety, stability, and peace are all well maintained and we will need his prayers in this direction.

“As we prepare for this year’s elections, we want to assure everyone in Ghana that we will play our role professionally to ensure that peace and security are maintained.”
