President Akufo-Addo has officially opened the 120-bed Fomena Hospital in the Ashanti Region’s Adansi North District.

The Adansi Traditional Area’s population were concerned and had pushed officials to speed the hospital project’s completion when it was repeatedly postponed owing to funding concerns. The hospital project was started in 2014.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized during the ceremony on Wednesday, July 17, that the hospital’s completion demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing contemporary healthcare facilities that adhere to national healthcare standards.

He emphasized that comparable hospital projects had been finished in Takoradi, Kumawu, and Fomena, demonstrating the government’s continuous efforts to improve healthcare facilities.

President Akufo-Addo pledged that in order to strengthen the country’s healthcare system, the government is still committed to finishing a number of additional healthcare projects by the end of the year.

He emphasized that these initiatives are a part of the government’s larger commitment to attaining universal health coverage and making sure that every Ghanaian has access to better, more effective healthcare.
