Former President John Mahama will host two youth-focused events on Monday, August 12, to commemorate International Youth Day, his campaign team has announced.
Campaign Spokesperson Joyce Bawah Mogtari announced that the events are designed to showcase Mahama’s dedication to tackling the pressing issues faced by Ghana’s youth.
“The activities will focus on the youth and Mahama’s commitment to addressing their challenges,” the statement read.
Mahama will launch the NDC’s Youth Manifesto at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) in the morning, followed by a Mahama Youth Townhall Meeting at the Bukom Boxing Arena in the evening.
These events will showcase his initiatives and policies to tackle youth unemployment, provide education, skills, and digital training, entrepreneurship, and more.
“Mahama’s vision, a beacon of hope, is centred on Building the Ghana we want together. He believes in empowering the youth and creating opportunities for them to thrive and succeed,” the statement emphasized.
