Deputy Energy Minister vows to boost renewable energy production

Deputy Energy Minister Collins Adomako Mensah has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to leveraging renewable energy for expansion.

Speaking at the Kyekyewere electoral area in the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency, Adomako Mensah emphasized the need for supportive policies and technological advancements.

Ghana’s energy mix relies heavily on traditional sources (68.8%), followed by hydropower (29.1%), and renewable energy (2.1%).

Adomako Mensah highlighted achievements and outlined future plans, stressing investment in renewable energy, innovation, and inclusive policies for sustainable development.

Renewable energy is crucial for stable power supply, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.

Residents expressed concerns about insecurity due to inadequate lighting, appealing for swift completion of street light installation.

Adomako Mensah assured residents that efforts are underway to extend electricity to all areas, with contractors working to meet deadlines.
