Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, calling him a man of destiny and someone destined to guide Ghana into a better future.
If elected in the 2024 elections, Kufuor declared his steadfast faith in Dr. Bawumia’s capacity to transform Ghana’s digital environment.
During the NPP’s Manifesto Launch on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Takoradi, the former President gave a video message endorsing Dr. Bawumia as the best candidate for the general elections of 2024, praising his strong experience and leadership qualities.
“I believe in the man of the moment–the whole world is talking about digitalisation. Bawumia is cut for the occasion, custom-made. He studied politics, and he was born into politics, because of his loyalty to the tradition which is why the party gave him a chance to lead.”
“We are presenting a custom-made candidate to Ghana, a candidate that understands geopolitics and his policy will bring on board sound relationships and his call will be in the interest of the country. A candidate that will digitalise the economy and social policy. He’s a man of destiny and a very insightful, humble person.”
He hoped that Ghanaians would be moved by the party’s platform and encouraged them to believe in Dr. Bawumia as the current leader, capable of handling the problems facing the country.
“The manifesto our candidate will present will be accepted by all Ghanaians, with the hope that he is the man of the moment.”
