Yaw Osaafo Marfo, the President’s Senior Advisor, has lavished praise on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), calling him the most honest and truthful politician he has ever met in his years of political activity.
During Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour of the Eastern Region, he stopped by the constituency at the Oda Lorry Station. Yaw Osafo Maafo claimed that in his whole political experience, he has never seen a politician as honest and truthful as Dr. Bawumia.
He emphasized that Ghana needs the NPP leader more than he needs Ghana, calling Dr. Bawumia a unique gem who should be treasured.
Using industrialized nations with long-serving presidents or administrations as an example, Mr. Osafo Maafo pleaded with voters to support the NPP’s continued rule so that the nation may continue to advance economically.
“Look at countries like Singapore, China, and the United States – they all had long-serving leaders who drove their development agenda. We must learn from their example and give the NPP the chance to continue their good work,” he added.
Additionally, he addressed the early doubts expressed about Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy,saying: “Some people doubted whether the NPP would allow a Muslim to lead the party, but today, we have seen the party prove them wrong. This is a testament to the NPP’s commitment to inclusivity and meritocracy.”
