Alma Naa Jama Opoku Prempeh, the wife of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the vice presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has begun her political campaign in the Odododiodoo Constituency. She started by asking for support at the home of her maternal relatives.
Mrs. Opoku Prempeh officially launched her campaign with the approval of her family elders, accompanied by prominent individuals such as Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Kwartei Titus- Glover, and Regional and Constituency NPP officials.
The visit included customary ceremonies, emotional exchanges with her family, and jubilant cheers of approval from party members present.
Nii Agyir Banor, the head of Alma’s maternal family, asked the ancestors for protection and direction when Mrs. Opoku Prempeh began her campaign during the visit.
He emphasized the importance of family harmony and exhorted everyone to give her their full support.
Nii Banor was proud of her accomplishments and dedication. She also praised her leadership abilities, compassion, and loyalty, all of which have helped her in her duty as Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s supportive partner.
Following the event, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, the Regional Minister for Greater Accra, conveyed the joy of the Ga-Adangbe community over the possibility of one of their own becoming the Second Lady of Ghana.
“She is one of us, and we are proud to have her here. I pray for her success and especially for the success of the Bawumia-NAPO ticket,” he said.
