2024 Election: ‘Anybody who causes trouble will be dealt with’ – NAPO

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has sent out a strong warning to anyone preparing to incite unrest prior to, during, or beyond the 2024 elections.

During a campaign trip in the Ahafo Region’s Asunafo South Constituency, Dr. Opoku Prempeh promised that those caught in violent acts will face consequences.

He stressed that the NPP’s top goal has always been to carefully manage Ghana’s resources, safeguarding the welfare of the populace and promoting economic progress without endangering the environment. He was speaking to chiefs, clergy, and a small gathering at Noberkaw.

In addition, he maintained the rule of law by emphasizing that political ties would not shield those responsible for violent crimes from prosecution.

His remarks come in the wake of a recent altercation between NDC and NPP members in the same constituency at Kwapong, which almost became violent.

Speaking to the residents of Asunafo, Dr. Opoku Prempeh reaffirmed that those who break the law will be held accountable and that the judicial system will make sure the right procedures are followed.

He reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to a peaceful general election in 2024 and stressed the organization’s commitment to making sure the voting process runs smoothly.

The NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Asunafo South, Frank Aduse Poku, offered support by highlighting a number of development projects that the administration has started and urging voters to support the continuation of these initiatives.
