Madam Elikplim Akurugu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Dome-Kwabenya, has pledged to “reset” the constituency and address its numerous challenges.
Addressing supporters after submitting her nomination forms at the Ga East District Office of the Electoral Commission, Madam Akurugu said: “The need to reset our constituency has never been more evident than now… I am prepared to make sacrifices to accomplish our set goals.”
She outlined her vision for the constituency, which includes establishing an MP’s office, holding regular town hall meetings, and improving safety and security through initiatives such as a fire station and street lighting.
Madam Akurugu also promised to focus on job creation, infrastructure development, and social development and welfare, saying: “These are not just campaign promises; they are commitments I have made and will continue to uphold with unwavering dedication.”
She emphasized the importance of collective effort, saying: “This candidacy is not just about me—it is about all of us working together to shape the future we envision.”
Madam Akurugu expressed gratitude for the support she has received and looked forward to engaging with constituents in the coming days and weeks.
