Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has acknowledged that it is his duty to instill greater passion and commitment in his players following their recent performances.
In a post-match interview after watching Legon Cities lose 1-0 to Medeama Sporting Club, Addo criticized the Black Stars’ recent form. Ghana had previously drawn 1-1 with Niger and lost 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in their 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Fans expressed frustration with the team’s lackluster body language and apparent lack of passion during these games.
ddo addressed these concerns directly, stating, “My message to the fans is… I want us to show a different picture than the last match.
“I think there was no passion on the pitch and it’s my responsibility and I have to make sure they show it on the pitch and if we show this we can win against every team.”
The Black Stars will face Sudan must win 2025 AFCON qualifiers scheduled for October.
