The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei South constituency, Ernest Adomako, has issued a second reminder to the Electoral Commission (EC) to investigate alleged improper transfer of voters into the constituency’s electoral register.
In a petition submitted to the Electoral Commission on October 2, 2024, Ernest Adomako expressed concern over the lack of response from the EC since their initial request on October 16, 2023.
“As you are aware, timely communication is critical, particularly in matters related to the integrity of electoral processes,” Ernest Adomako stated, emphasizing the importance of addressing the issue promptly.
The alleged irregularity occurred on January 4, 2023, and the NDC is seeking an investigation to ensure the fairness and transparency of the electoral system.
Ernest Adomako stressed that the constituency remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process.
“It is therefore essential that any outstanding issues or inquiries are addressed without delay,” he urged.
The Okaikwei South constituency is considered a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“I kindly urge you to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and provide a response at your earliest convenience,” the petition demanded.
