Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia has embarked on a week-long campaign in the Ashanti Region, seeking support for her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December elections.
Addressing a gathering at Abofour Zongo in the Offinso South Constituency, Samira Bawumia highlighted the NPP’s commitment to unity and inclusiveness, citing the party’s historic choice of Alhaji Aliu Mahama as Ghana’s first Muslim Vice President.
She emphasized the importance of Zongos reciprocating the party’s support by voting massively for the NPP.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, touted the party’s achievements in education, emphasizing their human-centered policies.
Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku, MP for Offinso South, stressed the need to renew his mandate and vote for Dr. Bawumia.
Samira Bawumia’s campaign focuses on empowering women and youth, as well as digitalizing Ghana’s economy.
As the founder of Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP), she has championed women’s rights, health, and education.
Her week-long tour aims to engage with Zongo communities, seeking support for Dr. Bawumia’s presidential bid.
