Court discharges four more Democracy Hub protestors

Four more demonstrators were released from the Democracy Hub after the state dropped its charges against them, according to the Accra Circuit Court.

The state prosecution team told the court that on Wednesday, September 25, 2025, they had filed fresh charges to replace the ones that had been brought against the demonstrators.

Cedric Bansah, Emmanuel Offei, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh, and Thomas Yeboah are the people who were released.

As the court continues to handle charges pertaining to the Democracy Hub demonstrations, this most recent development increases the total number of protestors released to 11.

The three-day demonstration, which lasted from Saturday, September 21, to Monday, September 23, 2024, resulted in the detention of 53 demonstrators.

Seven demonstrators were previously freed in a similar ruling on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
