Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has voiced disappointment in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), noting that even some of its members feel let down by the party’s failure to meet expectations.
Addressing an audience in Northern Region, the former president addressed concerns from voters expressing skepticism about the effectiveness of political parties.
“All the parties are not the same,” Mahama insisted, emphasizing the differences between the NDC and NPP.
He argued that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) focuses on investments that benefit the entire community, highlighting key infrastructure projects that have improved the lives of citizens.
Mahama detailed the NDC’s commitment to providing essential services such as electricity, clean drinking water, and education.
“When we bring electricity to a community, we know that everybody will benefit,” he stated, underscoring the importance of inclusive development.
He pointed out that initiatives like building schools and healthcare facilities have enhanced the welfare of communities, including Saboba, which he praised for its development during his administration.
In contrast, Mahama criticized the NPP for relying on propaganda rather than substantial progress.
He referenced a community center that, despite having been partially renovated, remains underutilized due to previous neglect.
“That is the kind of thing they engage in,” Mahama remarked, reinforcing his message that the NDC is the party dedicated to empowering the people through tangible development initiatives.
