The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman for Greater Accra, Divine Otoo Agorhom, is certain the party would gain ground in the December elections.
The area is crucial to observe in the elections on December 7 since it has been a swing area in the previous seven elections.
In 2020, John Mahama of the NDC won the Greater Accra Region with 1,328,196 votes, while President Akufo-Addo got 1,253,005 votes.
Additionally, the NDC won seven seats in the region’s 2020 elections, defeating the NPP.
“NPP will win at least 21 out of the 34 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region,” Agorhom stated in an interview with Kofi Doe Lawson on Adwenkasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9.
”Our objective is to capture additional seats from the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC]. When we combine that with what we already have, we will surpass 21 he said.
