Hajia Samira Bawumia, the wife of NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has made a strong plea to Ayensuano citizens to abstain from “skirt and blouse” voting in the next elections.
This call to action comes after the 2020 general elections, in which the NPP lost its traditional seat because of internal problems as a result of the community’s vote for the NDC MP.
Hajia Samira Bawumia stressed the value of solidarity and supporting the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Ida Adjoa Asiedu, during her campaign stop in Asuboi-Zongo in the Eastern Region on Sunday.
In order for the NPP to regain its parliamentary seat, she urged the populace to set aside their disagreements and cast Asiedu with a landslide vote on December 7.
Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, voiced her displeasure with the constituency’s lack of progress.
In addition to promising to advocate for a secondary school in Asuboi in the event that the NPP wins, she reassured the locals that Dr. Bawumia has policies in place to advance the nation.
The parliamentary candidate, Ida Adjoa Asiedu, also spoke to the crowd, emphasizing her charitable endeavors and dedication to empowering women and young people.
