The new head office of the Lands Commission will be commissioned by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday, November 25, 2024, marking a major milestone for Ghana’s land administration and management.
The state-of-the-art facility, which is next to the 37 Military hospital and next to the survey school, is intended to create an environment that is favorable for the Lands Commission to fulfill its purpose.
The seven-story edifice has a 250-seat auditorium, a gym, and a baby care center, among other contemporary technology amenities.
Chief Executive Officers of Land Sector Agencies, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Agencies, the Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Forestry, former Executive Secretaries of the Lands Commission, Traditional Authorities, and Lands Commission employees in the Greater Accra Region are among the stakeholders who will attend the commissioning ceremony.
During the commissioning event, the Vice President will be assisted by Samuel Abu Jinapor, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
This development demonstrates the government’s attempts to enhance Ghana’s land management and administration.
The new head office of the Lands Commission is anticipated to improve the efficiency, transparency, and governance of the nation’s land sector.
