The Electoral Commission of Ghana has issued a statement urging the public to disregard a misleading broadcast by a presenter on Wontumi TV.
The broadcast falsely claimed that there would be different voting dates for some presidential candidates in the upcoming December 7th general election.
The EC stated categorically in a statement that the 2024 election will take place on December 7, 2024, as scheduled.
“The General Public is informed that the 2024 Election will take place on 7th December, 2024,” the statement read.
Voters are reminded that voting on December 7, 2024, will start from 7 am until 5 pm.
The Commission encourages voters to go out in their numbers and cast their votes in an orderly manner.
