Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has partnered with Ethiopian Airlines to operate direct flights from London Gatwick Airport to Kumasi Prempeh I International Airport (PIA), starting December 3, 2024.
According to the flight schedule, the flights will depart from London Gatwick at 2:10 am and arrive at Kumasi Prempeh I International Airport at 9:05 am.
The return flights will depart from Kumasi at 11:00 am and arrive in London at 6:00 pm.
The next flight is scheduled for December 15, 2024, to accommodate the Christmas holidays.
Subsequent flight schedules will be published in the coming weeks.
This new development is expected to boost tourism and economic activities in the Ashanti Region, as travelers will no longer need to go through Accra to get to Kumasi.
