The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy General Secretary, Mustapha Gbande, has addressed concerns within the party regarding the appointment of Dr. Randy Abbey, urging members to “cast out” their fears and embrace the change.
Some NDC members have expressed concerns that Dr. Randy Abbey’s appointment may not prioritize job opportunities for the party youth. However, Mustapha emphasized that Dr. Abbey is a loyal supporter of the party, having personally funded their operations.
“Dr. Randy Abbey is not a strange person within the corridors of our party and the family of Mr. President,” Mustapha Gbande said, adding that President Mahama’s appointments are based on various factors, including “hard work and card-bearing membership”.
Mustapha Gbande also revealed that he had personally supported someone else for the cocoa board CEO job, but the president has finally taken a decision, and they must all see that as in their best interest.
Mustapha Gbande encouraged those seeking opportunities at the cocoa board to come forward without prejudice.
“Anyone who needs an opportunity at the cocoa board should feel free and do so without prejudice,” he said.
