Mahama calls for a unified Africa

In one of the most powerful moments of his speech at the third African Prosperity Dialogue in Accra, President Mahama invoked the words of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, calling for African unity in the face of challenges that have often divided the continent.

Quoting Nkrumah, Mahama said, “The forces that unite us are intrinsic and greater than the superimposed influences that keep us apart.”

He emphasized that unity among African nations is crucial to overcoming the economic, political, and social challenges the continent faces.

“Let us embrace those forces that unite us and chart a new path for Africa’s economic transformation,” President Mahama urged, noting that collective efforts and cooperation are essential for driving Africa’s progress.

The sentiment resonated throughout his address as he reaffirmed his belief in the power of Pan-Africanism to create a stronger, more unified continent.
