Head coach of Vision FC Nana Kweku Agyemang has expressed his disappointment and concern over the gruesome murder of Kumasi Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong, also known as Pooley, in Nsoatre on February 2.
In an interview with Gattuso on Original FM/TV’s Original Sports, Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang stated that the incident has invoked fear among his players, technical team, and himself, highlighting the potential risks that football enthusiasts face.
“I thought we had made progress in our football, but this incident has shown that we still have a long way to go,” he said.
The coach revealed that Vision FC has not experienced a similar incident before, although they have been denied entry to stadiums on several occasions.
Coach Agyemang emphasized the importance of adhering to rules and regulations governing football matches.
To prevent such incidents in the future, the Vision FC coach proposed increasing security measures and improving stadium design to prevent supporters from accessing the pitch.
“These measures will help protect both football players and supporters during matches,” he concluded.
