2024 Elections: Allow due process in Ablekuma North collation -Ahiagbah tells NDC

Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to respect democratic values and let due process unfold in the parliamentary election dispute in Ablekuma North.

His comments come after Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh said that if the Electoral Commission (EC) does not announce the seat for the party’s candidate, Akua Afriyie, the NPP would protest.

Rejecting the NDC’s demand for a rerun, Ahiagbah maintained that the election was a success and that there was no reason to hold another vote.

He attributed the delays in the declaration and compilation of results to what he called NDC vandalism.

“The NDC should change its position and begin to act like the democrats they are purporting to be and allow the process unfold,”Richard Ahiagbah  told Channel One TV.
