Afenyo-Markin commission 2 libraries, 3 community centers in Effutu

 

The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency, Hon. Alexander Ato Kwamena Afenyo Markin has commissioned five ultra-modern projects made up of three community centers and two Libraries in five communities within the Effutu Municipality in the Central Region.

The project brought excitement and joy into the faces of the citizenry.

The commissioned Community Centers are situated at Woarabeba, Osubonpanyin, and Ahwer Nkwanta and the two well-furnished libraries and
ICT Centre can be found at Gyahadze Primary School and Kojo Beedu to enhance community engagements and help improve the reading skills of the youth of the area.

Talking about Members of Parliament who have good cordial relationships with their constituents, Hon. Afenyo-Markin’s name cannot be left out. He was joined by some people of his constituency including the chiefs who graced the event.

The MP in his state of joy exhibited some indigenous Simpa dance moves while they played the music.

Handing over the Projects, Mr Afenyo-Markin noted that the projects would go a long way towards ensuring that development spreads to all parts of the constituency to fit into the Effutu dream.

The Director of Ghana Education Service at the Winneba Municipality Mrs.Mabel Judith Micah commended the MP for his tremendous support in Education. She promised that teachers and authorities of the school would ensure that the library served its purpose. Madam Judith Micah also urges pupils of Gyahadze Primary School to take their education seriously and make good use of the Library.

An official from the Ghana Library authority also in her address stated that under the Afenyo Markin regime, the Winneba and its other small communities have been blessed with 13 libraries with over 100 computers and laptops. She therefore commended the MP for the good work he is doing.
