Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda in the Eastern Region and Deputy Health Minister, has referred to the government’s Agenda 111 project as one of the most groundbreaking health infrastructure initiatives ever.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launched the idea on August 17, 2021, with the goal of building 111 district hospitals nationwide.
He stressed how impressive the Agenda 111 project’s scope is.
“ We have been keeping an eye on the Agenda 111 project, which is among the most groundbreaking health infrastructure initiatives ever undertaken worldwide, in my opinion ,” he said.
“ Indeed, no government in the history of the globe has initiated hospital infrastructure on the scale of 111 hospitals, comprising three psychiatric hospitals, seven regional hospitals, and 101 district hospitals .”
“ They are present in all 16 regions, not just one or two of them.”
Alexander Akwasi Acquah in an interview with Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Adwenkasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9 noted that the project has created significant employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
Access to healthcare in Ghana is anticipated to be greatly enhanced by the ambitious Agenda 111 project.
