President Akufo-Addo’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Colonel Isaac Amponsah, has fully recovered after his collapse during Friday’s final State of the Nation Address in Parliament.
Col. Amponsah passed out in the middle of the speech, although he was given emergency care there before being sent to the 37 Military Hospital for more assessment.
He has been released and is recuperating at home, according to a source at Jubilee House.
Although the precise reason of the collapse has not been formally determined, medical experts have hypothesized that stress and extended standing were probably to blame.
Since his predecessor, Bismark Onwona, was promoted to Major General, Col. Amponsah has been President Akufo-Addo’s ADC.
He was an instructor at the Military Training Academy and with the Ghana Armed Forces’ Defence Intelligence Unit before to taking up this position.
