Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Brekusu have called for an immediate investigation into allegations of employment abuse by the Akwapim South Constituency Chairman, Kojo Binney.
Addressing a press conference in Brekusu, the group expressed their concern that the chairman’s actions were undermining the unity of the party, sowing discontent and division within their ranks.
The members are particularly frustrated that job allocations, which were supposed to be made available for identified party members, have not been distributed fairly.
They accused Chairman Kojo Binney of withholding these opportunities, leading to a sense of injustice and dissatisfaction among loyal party supporters.
In response, the group has demanded that the national party leadership intervene, calling for the Constituency Chairman to be held accountable for his actions.
Angel Yirenkyi, branch chairman at brekusu is part of the group accusing the constituency chairman of the said employment abuse.
However, posters of the constituency chairman have sprang up in the constituency with inscriptions “Remove Kojo As Chairman of the Constituency”, “He Only Destroys”, etc., thereby sparking tension within the rank and file of the party in the constituency.
Metro TV reached out to the Akwapem South NDC Constituency chairman Kojo Binney for comment.
