Asante Kotoko has announced its return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the rest of the season.
The stadium was shut down in September for renovations following a CAF ban on hosting Category C games, which encompassed World Cup and AFCON qualifiers.
This situation led Asante Kotoko to use the Len Clay Sports Stadium as their temporary home, where they played their first six home games of the season.
Following a conclusion to the renovations, Kotoko will resume their home matches at Baba Yara, as stated by the club.
“We are pleased to announce our return to the Baba Yara Stadium for our remaining home matches of the season. This decision was made following an official communication confirming the completion of maintenance work at our historic home venue,” Kotoko stated.
Asante Kotoko will play their first match at the stadium against their fierce rivals, Hearts of Oak, on Sunday, December 13 in Gameweek 13 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
