Awingobit picks nomination forms to run for PNC National Chair

A stalwart of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Samson Asaki Awingobit, has officially thrown his hat into the ring to contest the party’s National Chairmanship position.

Awingobit’s media aide, accompanied by key party executives, picked his nomination forms at the PNC’s Headquarters in Accra, signaling his intention to vie for the top position.

A seasoned politician, Awingobit has previously contested the party’s flagbearership race in 2020, emerging as the runner-up.

He also stood as the party’s parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman in 2008.

With a background in trade and entrepreneurship, Awingobit promises to bring his expertise and vision to the forefront, aligning with the PNC’s objectives.

As he prepares to launch his nationwide campaign, Awingobit expressed eagerness to engage with party members and supporters.

The PNC’s internal elections are scheduled for August 31, 2024.
