Bawumia commissions first STEM Junior High School in Juaben

The Otuo Siriboe STEM Junior High School in Juaben, Ashanti, was officially opened on Sunday, December 1, by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Being the first of its kind, the school will focus on STEM education and science labs to support instruction.

Similar schools are being built by the government in various regions of the whole country.

Nana Otuo Siriboe II, the Paramount Chief of Juaben, thanked the government for naming the school in his honor.

Since the paramount is a qualified engineer, he agreed to teach some of the students himself.

“I express my gratitude to the government for the honour of having the school named after me. We also acknowledge the progress made in our community and extend our thanks for the establishment of the school. My constituents have committed to supporting Dr. Bawumia in recognition of the advancements in Juaben.”
