Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will lay out his own vision for the future of Ghana slated for February 7, 2024.
This lecture, with the theme “Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future,” will be held in the Greater Accra Region at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Kofi-Ohene Konadu Auditorium.
Using technology, data, and systems to promote equitable economic growth is anticipated to be a major theme of Dr. Bawumia’s speech.
Positioning Ghana as an African hub for digitalization, the vice president hopes to reduce the digital divide and use digital technology and artificial intelligence to revolutionize industries including public service delivery, healthcare, and education.
Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his commitment to building on the foundations already in place in order to take Ghana to the next level as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer in the next 2024 elections.
In his ideal Ghana, local companies would be given support, the impoverished would have their needs met, and industrial development would promote economic expansion.
After winning the post of flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia addressed the party’s members and said, “I have worked hard with you for the NPP and for Ghana over the last 22 years, from the Kufuor’s era as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana to our years in opposition and now in government.”
He emphasized his performance as vice president and his steadfast allegiance to the party and the administration.
