Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties.
His sacking was contained in a statement issued by the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday night.
“The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce that Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the senior National team with immediate effect,” GFA stated in the statement.
It also said that the Executive Council has resolved to dissolve the technical team of the Black Stars.
“The Ghana Football Association will in the coming days provide a roadmap on the future direction of the Black Stars.”
The Black Stars could not advance to the round of 16 in the ongoing #AFCON2023 after it failed to win any of their three group matches.
