COCOBOD MD Pays Courtesy Call on GCB Bank’s Newly Appointed MD

The Managing Director (MD) of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Dr. Ransford Abbey, paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed MD, Mr. Farihan Alhassan.

The visit, which took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, was aimed at strengthening the long-standing relationship between COCOBOD and GCB Bank.

The two institutions have collaborated over the years on various financial initiatives, particularly in supporting Ghana’s cocoa sector through structured financing and banking services.

Welcoming the COCOBOD MD, Mr. Alhassan expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed GCB Bank’s commitment to deepening its partnership with COCOBOD.

He also highlighted the Bank’s dedication to providing tailored financial solutions that support the cocoa industry and contribute to Ghana’s economic growth.

Dr. Abbey congratulated Mr. Alhassan on his appointment and commended GCB Bank for its continued support of the cocoa sector.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between financial institutions and agribusiness stakeholders in ensuring the sustainability and profitability of Ghana’s cocoa industry.
