The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has been arrested by the Police in connection with his suspected involvement in the disturbances that occurred at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region on Saturday, May 11, 2024. This is the most recent development regarding the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

One person was injured in the gunshot incident and had to be hospitalized.
According to a police report, authorities are aggressively looking for additional suspects who may be connected to the crime.
The registration facility in Kukuom was attacked by a group of people referred to as thugs who allegedly used the legislator’s car. They opened fire, seriously injuring at least one person.
Dauda was then arrested and taken into police custody after it was reported by eyewitnesses that he was inside the car throughout the mayhem.
