Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running partner, has come to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s defense, saying that the party’s flagbearer is not and never will be corrupt.
Following the delivery of a copy of Manasseh Azure Awuni’s most recent book, Dr. Opoku Prempeh commended Dr. Bawumia as a man of integrity who sincerely cares for the nation during an interview with the investigative journalist.
“The flagbearer I serve is not corrupt, he has never been corrupt, and he never will be,” Dr. Opoku Prempeh asserted.
The most recent book by Manasseh Azure, “The President We Never Had,” recounts a variety of incidents that happened under President Akufo-Addo’s rule, including claims of corruption.
A chapter in the book is devoted to the process of choosing Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the NPP’s running mate, as well as the lobbying that went on behind closed doors.
While presenting a copy of the book to Dr. Opoku Prempeh, Manasseh stated, “This book sheds light on some of the key events that have occurred in this government, from the early days of the administration to the present.”
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, who was obviously happy to receive the book, pledged to read it through and offer comments.
“I love reading, and I will definitely go through the entire book and share my thoughts with you. I’m also working on a few books to tell my story as Education Minister and Energy
