The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neeqaye Kotey, has reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to collaborating with port operators.
During a working visit accompanied by Deputy Chief Executive, Foster Akwasi Asante, Esq, to the DVLA office at the Tema Port, Mr. Kotey urged staff to maintain integrity and avoid unethical practices, warning that misconduct including dealings with unauthorized middlemen (‘goro boys’), would not be tolerated.
He assured stakeholders of the Authority’s dedication to delivering efficient services while upholding its legal mandate.
The Deputy Chief Executive encouraged staff to apply their expertise to enhance DVLA’s reputation across all sectors.
The Golden Jubilee Terminal Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Ms. Angela Tawiah-Ahen, pledged continued cooperation with DVLA and raised concerns about early bank closures, suggesting extended hours to support late port operations.
