The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) media team member, Mr. Eric Sosu, has praised President Mahama’s appointment process, stating that the people nominated thus far are deserving of their posts.
His remarks follow the President’s first three nominees to the positions of Attorney General, Energy, Justice, and Finance.
He claims that by not selecting just anybody to positions, the President has shown that he is careful and diligent in choosing his ministers.
According to Eric Sosu, Mahama’s actions thus far, including bringing Ato Forson, Dominic Ayine, and John Jinapor into his government, are typical of all leaders.
“ The fact that the president has chosen his ministers carefully thus far makes me extremely satisfied. Additionally, I want to praise him for putting knowledge, skill, and integrity first.,” he said on Accra-based Original FM Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
On Thursday, January 9, President Mahama named Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice-designate, John Abdulai Jinapor as the Energy Minister-designate, and Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as the Finance Minister-designate.
The nominees were all deputies in the same portfolios during the previous NDC government.
