The 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, by Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam.
The presentation’s objectives are to give the House an update on the government’s 2024 budget’s implementation as well as updated financial goals and Ghana’s economic forecast.
The Ministry said in a statement dated Monday, July 22 that the review would offer an update on how the 2024 budget is being implemented as well as insights into the fiscal and economic performance of the first half of the year.
An update on lending sustainability, revenue, spending performance, growth metrics, and financing would be provided.
The Minister would also provide the Parliament with an update on the Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG), which is now being implemented with a $3 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), this will be Dr. Amin Adam’s first presentation in Parliament after taking up his position as Finance Minister in February 2024.
