Kwaku Ohene Gyan, a former Deputy Director of Operations of the National Service Authority (NSA) also known as Osonoba, has reportedly been held by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
He is still being held at the NIB offices in Kawukudi after allegedly being picked up on Saturday night. His lawyers are scheduled to meet with him tomorrow to go over the circumstances and look into potential legal avenues for his release, even if the reasons for his incarceration are still unknown.
Furthermore, it’s unclear if the latest NSA revelation had anything to do with his detention.
The NIB has also detained Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, the former chairman of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Board, in Kawukudi, which is close to Nima in the Greater Accra Region.
Although the specifics of his arrest have not been made public, his legal team is making every effort to have him released.
At the NIB headquarters in Kawukudi, lawyers are presently requesting bail for the former Education Minister.
